A dematerialized alternative to the physical card which will continue to exist, the Vitale card app has a high level of security and the same functionalities as the physical card.
Practical and easy to access, always with you, always up to date: The Vitale card, also vital in app.
To benefit from the Vitale card app, you must:
- Be affiliated with a Health Insurance, MSA or MGEN organization in the departments open to the Vitale card app to date:
Alpes-Maritimes, Bas-Rhin, Loire-Atlantique, Puy-de-Dôme, Rhône, Saône-et-Loire, Sarthe, and Seine-Maritime.
- Be at least 16 years old
- Have a valid Vitale card
- Have a minimum version 7 smartphone
The Vitale card application allows:
- to identify yourself, as with your Vitale card, to an equipped health professional;
- to have information on healthcare expenses incurred by healthcare professionals;
- to access their information and that of their beneficiaries: Social Security number, status, mandatory organization, but also other information such as National Health Identity, etc.
The deployment of the Vitale card app reading equipment will be done gradually among healthcare professionals.
Also, it is advisable to always keep your Vitale card with you.
The Vitale card application is developed by the GIE SESAM-Vitale, which is commissioned by health insurance at the request of the Ministry of Solidarity and Health.
